Services

INITIAL CONSULTATION

During the first no-obligation meeting Joanna will assess your design needs and discuss the services that she can offer. She will then follow with a written proposal outlining your objectives along with associated design services and fees for your consideration.

Prices for DD Services are always quoted on individual basis based on complexity of the project.

DeSIGN PHASE

This stage is a key element to a successful project. It enables us to establish your needs and treat them as a priority throughout the process. We will propose a sketch layout solution optimising your space, together with our aesthetic vision of your home or project in the form of mood boards containing images, drawings and samples. We will then work together to refine the scheme to suit your requirements.

EXECUTION AND INSTALLATION

Once the initial design is approved we prepare a set of detailed drawings for the works to be undertaken by craftsmen and contractors. These will include plans, elevations, lighting layouts and joinery details. They will also be coordinated with the relevant schedules of finishes, lighting, sanitaryware etc., and when necessary, prepared in consultation with Architect, M&E and AV specialists to ensure that no detail is overlooked.

SITE SUPERVISION - If commissioned to do so, we will work on your behalf to see the project through to completion. Our involvement in site supervision will ensure all details are executed in accordance with design information provided by Dabrovska Design and that the quality of work meets our standards and your expectations. You can choose the level of our involvement or whether to supervise contractors yourself.

FURNITURE AND DRESSING

We will present you with the design and specification of key items of furniture, fabrics, fittings (such as lighting) and accessories, all of which can be purchased through us. All of these elements will be meticulously scheduled to ensure smooth procurement and site implementation.

At Dabrovska Design we offer a bespoke furniture and joinery design and build service. We work with talented cabinet makers and joiners and together we tailor those elements to perfectly fit the interior scheme.

Our work is not over when the building, cabinetwork and decoration is finished. We would be pleased to assist in the selection of art, antiques, eclectic vintage touches and fine objects to bring the project to ultimate completeness.

About

Joanna Dabrowska-268.jpg

Joanna studied Interior Design and Architecture both in Poland and London. She gained her experience with several London based Interior and Architecture firms, often working as a lead designer on prestigious residential and commercial projects located in the UK and overseas.

With experience in luxury interiors, but her heart close to nature, Joanna creates interiors that are focused not only on aesthetic enhancement and functional needs, but also on environmental issues. She’s committed to prove that it’s possible to create sophisticated, well designed spaces using ethical and sustainable products. Spaces that are treasured, hold memories and mature with time.

‘I feel that it’s time to establish connection between my choices as a designer and the impact they have on the environment. I am hoping that proposing beautiful, natural choices to my clients will give their homes the potency of more than just a fashionable style. And choosing best quality, sustainable materials combined with great craftsmanship will ensure the longevity of their living environment.’

Joanna enjoys spending her free time experiencing various forms of art and design - from ceramics, jewellery making, life drawing and screen-printing to textile dying and form casting. This passion for all things hand made nourishes Joanna’s sense of style, attention to the finest of detail and adds to her extensive knowledge of material use. Her manual skills sometimes lead her to take on tasks that subcontractors resist to complete – be it bespoke colouring of grouting, bespoke joinery staining with home made solution or small furniture restoration jobs!

She is also a keen traveller, animal lover and is developing a real passion for gardening.
